Well, I took my wedding dress to this shop b/c of the previous review left my "Megz". DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. The dress didn't look any better than what I could have done myself at home...and I don't sew. Mr. Villamar himself wasn't there both times we went in & the son there is extremely unfriendly. He'll let you stand there like an idiot for a few minutes before he even says anything to you. The sewing was bad, the location is questionable, and the service sucks.

I just recently moved here to Corpus from Illinois and have a wedding back in Illinois that I'm in in September.I brought in a full length bride's maid gown and needed the length hemmed higher, and also needed the bust taken in.Villamar himself prepared the dress for alterations. He used chalk instead of pins to mark where he needed to take in the gown.I was very happy about that considering the last time I was fitted for a bride's maid dress I got poked a couple times by pins.It took him less than 5 minutes to mark what I said I'd like done to the dress. When he was finished and I began filling out my receipt I asked how much it would cost and how long it would take.I got my dress back 5 days later, and it only cost me $25 for the entire dress.I would highly recommend this place to anyone. While in the shop I also saw plenty of jeans, dresses and other clothing items being worked on as well. All of the items I saw looked perfect.Looks can be deceiving though. When I first pulled into the parking lot I saw this little white shop...very small.I walked in, and it's not the cleanest shop, but that's only because of how many clothing items Villamar has in there to work on.There is also only a thick floor length curtain to change behind, but you cannot see thru it, and the men that work there are complete gentlemen.Overall, this is a great place to get clothes tailored the right way and for a more than reasonable price.
