Reviewed from Yahoo! Movies: I was born and raised in a big city, so I know the price and look of the big theatres are great. So compared to the big theatres it is not up to par. But in the way of when they get new releases, the price and the friendliness of the staff when I take my son, it is great. It's not always clean, but the price is right and the movies are great.
Reviewed from Yahoo! Movies: remember it is kingsville, this isn't a nice upscale theatre that most are used to,, just like the rest of this town it is old, outdated and rundown. the employees are lazy, The price is good and drinks, candy, popcorn are tasteful, the seats suck and the floor is always sticky, last time we saw a mouse in the theatre room, and there was a hole in the hanging ceiling, for what it is it works but reminds me of the dollar show back home,,,,,,,,
Reviewed from Yahoo! Movies: I will admit, the Rio 7 cinema has problems with employees, they don't last and they never have enough people. I don't think the manager last very long either. Here is a tip, get there 30 mins early so that you will have enough time to get your popcorn and make it to your seat before movie starts.
The place is always clean when I have gone and temperature is always good. Cold during the summer months and warm during the few cold spells we get.
The entry fee is cheap ($3) for a matinee and around $8.50 for a small popcorn, large drink and a candy.Try going to Corpus and see if you can get in to a show for that amount or spend that little at the concession stand. Wont happen.
I like our Rio 7, have been going since they opened over 10 years ago.
