Their employes would like to go home too: Maybe instead of going shopping at the last minute you should go earlier. maybe you have never worked retail but I have. After a long day of dealing with customers that don't know what they want, are rude, kids running and screaming in the halls, people woh are messy and 1000 other things that happen all in a days work at a retail store, the employees have a right to go home on time. retail employes don't get paid alot of money for what they have to put up with. the store managers have guidelines they are suppose to go buy. they are to close out the drawers as soon as possible to avoid any criminal problems and so the employees can all go home. Some one should have went over to see if they could help you choose the right item, but more than likely they wouldn't have known what item was compaitable either. The employees do not specialized training when it comes to the electronics like they do at best buy or circuit city. So next time you need to go shopping and don't know what you need go to a store who makes commision and charges you more money. That way they will know and you can get the help you need. Target is way better than walmart, cause walmart doesn't help you for anything. anytime i have went to Target i have always had a good experience!
Worst customer service experience I have ever had!: September 2006, I went to Target to buy an MP3 player. I made a selection along with a radio transmitter for the device. I got to my truck 10 minutes before the store closed and realized the device and the player were not compatible. I returned to the store thinking surely I would be able to take care of the issue that night. After about 30 minutes of trying to find compatible devices, the manager came to me and told me to leave (several times). I asked for a refund and he said he could not do that until the next morning. He must have been aware that I was still in need of assistance when he authorized the cashiers to close out the register. I will have to return later to get my refund. I was in Mcallen from out of town on a business trip and purposefully went shopping on a Sunday so I would not spend my work week in a store. I would stay away from any company that makes billions of dollars a year and cannot allow a customer who is in the store prior to it's official closing to take care of a matter that was recognized that night. Customer service goes down the drain more often than not these days. And I bet it is often because a manager who probably makes in excess of $50,000 (quite probably more) a year doesn't think it is worth it to stay a few extra moments to provide a customer with a good experience. I will get my refund and take my complaint as far up the Target ladder as possible. Target missed the target big time with me!
Target is much better than Wal Mart: I would rather drive the extra distance and shop at Target than deal with the overcrowded Wal-Mart in Edinburg where it looks as if every street vendor seeling food sets up shop.

Some customers dont understand that if they are allowed inside the store after the closing time, then everyone else is going to want to get in as well. They announce 15 before closing the store, for customers to make their final selections, and still all the customers are running like ants at the last minute, undecided. After the doors close you cannot and will not be allowed inside the store. Trying to get in through the other exit store will not work. Great service, but Undecided customers.
