Reviewed from Yahoo! Movies: We love going to "the dollar movie" - especially on Family Mondays when 3 or more tickets are just 50 cents each! They also have a reduced movie meal deal on Mondays - a small popcorn and small drink for just $2.50 -- so for $3/each ($15 for our family of 5) we can all go see a movie and get our own popcorn and a drink! -- I mean, who really needs the gigantic bag of popcorn and equally gigantic drink to get through a 90-minute movie?
Yes, the staff has always been friendly and the atmosphere definitely lends itself to going to the movies when I was a kid... but for the price, you can't beat the "big screen experience"! -- especially with three kids!
We love it!!! (and in the summer they have a "summer movie club" during the day where you can take the kids and get out of the heat and watch a good kids' film very inexpensive as well)
I have been to this Movie house, and yes, the Staff is very friendly, I can watch a movie other places, but i choose to spend my time and money here. Mabe the candy and hot dogs cost a little more, no different that any other place, i really don't mind, i'd prefer to pay a little more for them, if it helps keep the doors open. Sure the few people talking loud gets on my nerves, but thats part of the movie experience. I will keep comming back as much as my schedule permits. From my personal experience, this is a good place.
Stop by and see what happens!: There's a ghettoness to this theater that makes this place particularly unique, and adds a hometown touch. This is a great place to just stop by, watch a great month-old movie, and leave with your own tastes of the film... and the popcorn. The building is kept up to a certain extent, the restrooms are ok (though the flourescent lights can be an eyesore), but you can enter and leave your movie without paying too much attention to the 1970-80 something style building. The price of the food is outrageous (what theater's popcorn isn't???), and the arcade games include your typical old-school classics (mind the eaten quarters), but every visit is different. You might see two guys outside pushing each other over the girl, you might burn a hole in your wallet over movie meals, or you might step on gum. Whatever you experience, this place definitely has a memorable touch to it. A very down-to-earth theater at a very reasonable movie price (Sometimes only a buck!). Just keep in mind that, though this is rare, sometimes the film machines malfunction in a few showing rooms, but if worse comes to worse, you'll get your refund. I told you each visit would be different!
