It should have tipped us off to what was to come when we walked into this restaurant and we were the only people there at 6:30 in the evening. The menu had everything on it you'd expect from an Italian restaurant and dinners come with soup or salad and garlic bread. I ordered Lasagna and my wife ordered spaghetti with shrimp. The salad and garlic bread came out, they were actually decent. Then came our main courses. The lasagna sauce tasted like they'd used tomato paste, added water and absolutely no spice. It had no flavor and literally tasted like water. My wife's spaghetti also had no flavor and the shrimp was nearly impossible to chew. I didn't know shrimp could be cooked so poorly as to make it tough to chew, but Paulino's pulled it off. All in all it was not a good experience in the least and we would never consider going back.
My wife and I ate here on our vacation last month and what a treat the food was! I can't believe that we were the only customers there at the time. This is some of the best Italian food I have eaten.
One of the best Italian meals I have ever had. The atmosphere feels like the restaurant was just thrown together that morning. DO not let the simplistic decor fool you. Paulinos is not about the look of the restaurant, it is all about the food.
Everyone in my party was pleased with what we got, and is still going on about it. The menu is short, but I promise you that you will not be dissapointed. Take a break from all that pub fare and have a meal you will not forget.
