Bought a used car for a great price, it runs nice and everything under the hood is nice. So far no problems and it doesn't look like it will, plus everythings under warrantly. I'm happy.
Service Department Terrible!!
We had a problem with our rear window and called three dealerships around Austin for a price to replace the window motor. This is the only dealership that said they had the part in-stock, but they wanted three times the price for the part. When we asked about this they said - "Oh, it looks like we can match that price", so we drove there. After four hours waiting they told us - "The part we have is for the opposite window, come back tomorrow."
Since our door was half torn apart, we came back the next day, and after another hour Wendy said "it's not the motor and you'll now have to pay for diagnosis" After another hour she said "It actually is the motor, and the new one we have doesn't work either, so come back tomorrow"
The third day they finally had a motor that worked, but one of the wires in the door was now broken because they left the old motor in the door loose, flopping around the day before. We waited for them to fix the wire (which they said was not their fault), then they hit us with the bill.
After we summarized all their screw ups (wrong price, wrong part, part that doesn't work, broken wire due to half-ass work)and stating that it took about 12 hours of our time for something that should have taken two, they made no apologies, were mean spirited, unprofessional and condescending all the while refusing to accept any responsiblity for any trouble they caused. However, when pressed, Brian, the Service Manager decided to stretch and give us a whole 15% off the labor, or $22 for wasting many hours of our time and attempting to rip us off. Do you think we'll be back?
Please, please stay away from these jackasses.
All I need to say is "AGREED" Agreed with everything everyone is saying here. Wont' waste anymore time than saying........Don't go to or buy from Mac Haik. You are wasting your time and more importantly your hard earned money.
