** 2 Chicks Grooming **
FYI, The only work I have had done is nail clipping. My mom brought 4 of my rescue kitties there prior to my even knowing about it, informed me the next day and was very happy. Brought her boxer there about a week later and was again, very happy. While Scooter is a good dog, he is very strong and not willing to put up with any funny business and can be.... a handful. They had zero problem. So, I brought 1 of my other kitty recues for nails too (at some point she stopped letting me do it, dunno why) and it was a few minutes at best. VERY good with kitties.
I am a freak about this and have walked out of a vets office cause I didnt like the way they were interacting with my cats. These women do a fine job and know cats well. One had a firm grip, the other did front and back in no more than 90 seconds flat. Quick work and kitty was not even vaguely traumatized, in fact she played quite a bit when I got home....which is rare after vet visits. I'll be taking my other adult kitty soon (I have 7 right now).
Highly recommended and the price is right. Its $5 a cat for nails alone, I don't know what it is for dogs. Again, highly recommended.
I had a lab/chow mix that I started to have shaved for summers. I visited and interviewed a few Austin groomers because his coat didn't really accommodate a normal shave. After trying one groomer and disliking their attitude upon returning for a second visit, I sought out someone new. I went through the local Cedar Park/Leander phone book and contacted Two Chicks, first for a phone interview. Immediately I was impressed with their responses to my questions and was put at ease with their level of knowledge and experience. That was 3 or 4 years ago. Beau passed away and we're on a new girl with different grooming needs. The "two chicks" at Two Chicks Grooming are the only choice for us. They are especially great with elderly and special needs dogs.
I've been trying different groomers in Cedar Park since December. I'd almost given up and was thinking about looking in Austin for a old shop that would specialize in standard poodles. I finally got an appointment with Two Chicks and it was worth the wait. My six month old baby never looked so good. The price was within range of the other shops and they did a much more superior job. They were loving and caring and made my pup feel at ease. I have found my groomers and they are within a 10 minute drive from my home.
