Best Rugby Bar I have been to this side of Beijing. Man those DEVIL's Rock a bar. Need to order some Piju for Conroy!!
I'm the manager referred to by "Locals" who it appears "reviewed" my pub not long after she and a companion were asked to leave due to excessive intoxication, rude language and an inability to control the volume of their speaking voices. The "Asian Bartender" referred to is one of our star servers, garnering much praise from locals, regulars and visitors alike. So here's a little balance, as objectively as I can put it.
We've been a success on 6th Street for almost 8 years, outlasting dozens of bars and pubs in that time. We've won numerous awards for our food, ambiance, beer and our hospitality, including several restaurant critics awards. We've been named to the "Top Ten Irish Establishments in America" by noted food critic Tom Horan two years running. Many reviews and quotes from reviews are found under "Reviews" on our website. Read them for yourself. I'm in this business because I love to serve people and see them enjoy themselves at our pub. If you are rude, intoxicated, underage or not a nice person, please choose another bar.
If you are looking for a grown-up pub experience and a bit of Irish hospitality on 6th Street, try us. If you enjoy fresh beer from clean lines poured into spotless glassware, a full bar and good food, sports on HDTVs, live music with no cover, friendly servers, a friendly crowd and a bit o' fun, please make us your local.
I'm rating the pub 4 stars, because we're not perfect, but we're always trying to be the best pub we can possibly be.
The worst Irish bar I have ever been to. Manager on duty and Asian female bartender cursed and could not wait for people to get out of the bar so that they could go home. I know that they did not mean for the people having drinks at the bar to over hear them. It just showed that they do not respect people that come into the bar to have a good time and a couple of drinks. Neither one of them should be in the hospitality industry if they do not respect the people that help them make a living.
