I can't believe this place is gone: Jazz on 6th Street in Austin, TX was the best place to get down home Louisiana cooking. You could order anything from alligator to shrimp etufe and get it a decent price. The on down side was the parking, but once you taste your food then you forget about parking and just enjoy yourself!
magnolia home of the soliders: Jazz is very unique resturant, I went on the day the Mavs were on TV, and for my first time going to this establishment, I was impressed. The only I dont like is that they dont serve french fries(odd) but the food is good, the drinks are big and the service is great. Recommend this place to anyone who likes cajun food, or just wants to relax and unwind with some zydeco music. Keep it up GO MAVS
A taste of New Orleans right here in Austin: I love this place! The first time I ate there I was hooked. One week me and some co-workers ate there every day that week! I have been to New Orleans quite a few times and while I know it will be awhile before I can go back its good to know that I can go to 6th St and get my Gumbo, Red Beans and rice and whatever other Creole or Cajun dish I want and follow it up with some fresh Beignets. The live music is great and the staff is incredible. The bar is always fully stocked and if you dare ask for The Bermuda Triangle-so strong you are limited to only two. This place is great!
