User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsNow that Mars has now moved to the hip South Congress, I have to say the food is much better. My first experience was several years ago when it resided on San Antonio St - the only positive was the women's bathroom.
This past week my husband and I gave the restaurant another chance and couldn't be more pleased. The entree's are perfectly portioned and no need for salt and pepper. In fact, salt and pepper isn't even on the tables. I would reccommend the salmon and the Tandoori Grill.
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsWorst restaurant I've ever been in Austin, TX. Nice place, I've to admit but dishes are ridiculously small and prices are big. I understand the concept of fusion cuisine: upscale exotic dishes, typically small but Mars abuse of that concept just to make more money. I ordered the lamb which was the most expensive plate in the menu and I believe the waitress didn't even want to look at me when she brought it to the table. Waitresses should alert customers about the size of the dishes especially when those dishes carry a high tab
