| About: | Walburg Restaurant & Biergarten, located in this tiny hamlet--population 142--attracts loyal patrons from miles around. Fortunately, for travelers the restaurant is only eight miles off Interstate 35. The main draw of this informal, family-style restaurant is home-style German food and open-air beer halls. The menu is a distinct fusion of southern German meat-heavy cuisine and Texan-style dishes. Housed in a renovated dry goods store, the indoor stage showcases music and yodeling. |

I love this place The band is great although I do miss Casey. The food and beer is really good. I have spent my last 2 New Years with the walburg gang I have not been disapponted I will be there This New Year again if The price don't go up.
Let's see....If I was going to a "World Renouned" restaurant 30 miles away in a small town....It would only make sense that a RESERVATION would be appropriate. Maybe you better leave the coordinating part up to someone else?
We drove 30 miles to get to this "world renowned" restaurant only to be told that they would not seat us (party of 4) since we did not have a reservation. Not only that, but this was told to us in a very discourteous manner -- we were brushed aside and ignored as soon as it was known we didn't have reservations. No sympathy, no apology, just a brusque dismissal.
I will never go back and will make it my spare time hobby to find any message boards I can to slam this place.
