    Sorry folks, Cypress Creek Cafe has closed and is for sale. The back bar and music venue remain open Friday and Saturday nights.

    Great restaurant in a great building (check Mike Bond's rock art at the front entrance), in a great location on the square in beautiful "downtown" Wimberley (or "out to Wimbly" if you will). Once called the Dinner Bell when Sonny Gold (former Justice of the peace) owned it (still called that by locals to differentiate themselves from newbies and flatlanders). They can pave over paradise but some things remain the same. Excellent service and iced tea. This is Texas hill country dining the way it ought to be.

    Great food...most of the time...it depends on who's cooking, so only 4 stars. I love the homestyle fried steak and the specials are always good.
