    If you are looking for a less-snooty dining option downtown that isn't some hideous chain space-This is the place! The staff is awesome, and very Austin, and the food is great. I have never had a bad experience here, and have loved Hicory Street for years. Thanks guys! Keep up the great work!

    I don't recommend Hickory Street. The service is poor, the food is not that great, the prices are too high for what you get, and it's a little dirty. You'd be better off to spend you money across the street at Chipolte or Subway.

    Sweeeeeeeeeeeet: FINALLY!!! I went into Hickory Street for the first time in about a year (it's now july 07) and realized something was different. They have misters for the patio now and what looks like a second bar being installed. Apparently they have a new owner and THE LIVE MUSIC IS BACK!!!! thurs.-sun. This has always been one of my favorite places and I'm glad things are going back to the way it used to be, e.g., $2.00 pints again!
