We decided to escape the city for a few days this week and just "wing it" when we got wherever it was we decided to stay. Well, the road led us to Austin and after stopping by the Visitors Center and asking about places to stay near water, the woman suggested Robin's Nest B&B because it was right on the lake. I didn't expect it to work out as I had never gone anywhere without planning first. When I called, Kelly answered the phone and let me know that they had a room available and for a great price! We made our way out to Lake Travis and after grabbing lunch/dinner at the Oasis's we found the B&B down a quiet road leading to the lake. Kelly met us there and then gave us the choice of two rooms. We chose Biscuit's Room and so started our 3-day stay there. It was FABULOUS! Kelly and Pete were wonderful and it just had a great "feeling" with lots of room to stretch our legs. We hung out down near the lake in the evening, which unfortunately is at a record low-level, but I envisioned what it would like when it was full. I still loved it! Kelly helped the next morning in telling us about different places to go that involved swimming places. She recommended Hamilton Pool so we packed our bathing suites and off we went. Had a great time and took plenty of photos! We then went back to the B&B and had plenty of privacy, felt at home and just enjoyed some quality time together. We made our way into the city that night and checked out the State Capital, then got some BBQ at Stubb's downtown. Again, just had a great time! Thank you to Robin, Kelly & Pete for making our getaway a lot of fun!! Thank you Pete for your sense of humor and thank you Kelly for always being so nice and very accommodating! You guys were great and I would highly recommend staying at your place! We'll be back!
