The Water Tank

My husband and I are regulars at the Water Tank too in P'ville and love the place. We are treated like royalty with excellent service in a very friendly atmosphere. Bartendresses Ashley and Rachel rock! Our cold beers are poured before we even sit down!

The Water Tank on McNeil is AWESOME. The best night to go is Wednesday, for "Big Ass Steak Night". The steaks are amazing (I was a little skeptical about ordering a steak from a bar) and it's a great deal! Karaoke is fun too, and they also have live bands and poker. The patio is dog friendly and there are always interesting people to meet. I highly reccommend this place. The only downfall is that sometimes the service is a little slow, but you just have to be assertive. I think it's worth it when you look at the whole picture.

My family and I went to the Pflugerville location on Memorial Day for an early dinner after a long drive home. Let me just start off by saying that there were about 5 tables with people seated and at least that many wait people. We sat for 10 to 15 minutes before we were FIANLLY asked for our drink order by the extremely nice hostess. Then when our waiter brought our drinks he took off 2 of the drinks while others went tumbling onto my 4-year old son's chair. There was an attempt to clean it up but he was forced to sit through dinner in wet pants. Then we ordered... the waiter comes out several minutes later to let my husband know that they were out of prime rib and then asked if he would like to order something else. He brought out a menu and my husband looks at me and says, "I didn't order prime rib." He had ordered a ribeye. Finally our food comes out. My husband again looks at me and asks how much I want to bet it is not cooked the way he asked. He cuts into to find that is was cooked medium well when he had asked for medium rare. He sent the steak back after letting the clueless waiter know that he wanted another steak to be prepared. After all of this you would think it was enough to earn 1 star but to top it all off... we had already been there well over an hour with sleepy, wet kids then the bill comes. Do you think that there any mistakes? Do you think that there might be something comped for our pain and suffering... oh NO... a 15% gratuity was already added!!! We had 4 people in our party. When is gratuity added for 4 people? All and all we had a nightmarish experience at the Water Tank and my family and I will NEVER EVER be going back to this very poorly run establishment!!! Also, just a side note... they charged us twice on our check card.
