User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsGreat dive bar!: Shoal Creek is one the great dive bars that gives Austin its character and soul. Just far enough away from the souless neon dance caverns and drunk college students of Sixth Street to remain under the radar, this little saloon is the perfect place to catch-up with good friends while enjoying the best Cajun food in town. The beer is cold and the people are friendly. Really, what else could you ask for?
