here is the city Code regulating outdoor lighting section B B. Fully Shielded and Full Cut-off Light Fixtures Required The following outdoor lighting applications shall be illuminated by fixtures that are both fully-shielded and full cut-off: (See Figure 42.) Figure 42: Examples of fully-shielded light fixtures 1. Public street and pedestrian lighting; 2. Parking lots; 3. Pathways; 4. Recreational areas; 5. Billboards; 6. Product display area lighting; and 7. Building overhangs and open canopies and these lights were installed well after the grandfathered grace time so they are subject to this law and the current lights do not meet the design standard set by the city midtown installed and activated the first light September 1st 2009 and has added 8 more

manager comes to me angry and complains to me how i was right about the lights contributing to 7 bike thefts and crime going up 300% Light pollution indeed contributes to what i call Ambient light crimes if he installed full cutoff lights the Ambiance would Go away and crime would be better curtailed in addition if he was to install Motion activated full cutoff lights that alone would repel crime but static lights don't repel at all in fact they invite crime the same saying the same how to boil a frog put the frog int Hot water and it will jump out but worm it up slowly and it will die same way statically run lights are the slow boil and Hot activated lights(motion activated) are Hot water IT IS A FACT motion activated lights repel crime
