I'd have to agree about this post office being the worst. I've lived in 4 states and 10 cities, and after living here for 7 years, I'd say it's the worst in those states. I have never had a good experience, and my kids even joke about it being the "bad" post office. The employees act like they hate their jobs and everyone that comes up in line is an inconvenience to them.
Don't go if you don't have to!
Worst Customer Service Imaginable: The Chimney Corners Station of the U.S. Postal Service in Austin, Texas is notorious for having the worst customer service imaginable. The staff never smiles as they SLOWLY move about performing their tasks. It is clear that the employees are not going to perform any task beyond their assigned duties and the phrase "customer service" is foreign to their vocabulary. Complaints to management fall on deaf ears since the situation never improves. If you want to experience the behavior that helped to earn a bad reputation for the postal service in general, then visit this facility.
Slow and Trashy: I never had problems at a post office before. A couple of the employees are very nice and efficient, but the others are very slow and rude. There is almost always trash laying around everywhere, and the forms you need are rarely available except behind the counter, which will take you a while to get to.
