| About: | Next door to Waterloo Records, this casual restaurant is a great place to catch music performed by local talent. Waterloo Ice House serves a variety of American and Tex-Mex food and offers a daily happy hour with half price appetizers. Customers are welcome to call in their orders for pick-up or dining in. Booths and tables are comfortably spaced throughout the room. The atmosphere is fun and relaxed. Appetizers include Fried Mushrooms served with ranch dressing, Spicy Wings dipped in a tangy barbecue sauce and Chicken Nacho Grande. User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsBEWARE OF THE WATERLOO IN SOUTHPARK MEADOWS. Arrived at 10:45, FINALLY HAD TO ASK FOR MY FOOD TO-GO at 11:30... And all I ordered was soup, salad, and the veggies of the day.
The Tortilla Soup was so incredibly spicy that I could not even eat it, not to mention it had ZERO pieces of chicken, and consisted of broth and onions.
The veggies of the day were steamed carrots. GROSS.
Take my word for it, DEFINITELY not worth the $8.00 I wasted!
User Rating: 1 out of 5 starsI just ate at the Austin airport location. The Cheesburger was good but they were out of Dr. Pepper and out of ketchup for the fries or tots. Is it cool to be stand offish and not customer friendly? Teach this guy some customer service skills. The medium coke was $2.15. The same size at Harlon's next door is $1.30. I will be eating at Harlon's next trip. I was one of 4 customers in a row dissatisfied.

Have breakfast!: Grab a bite in the morning, their Migas' so good! I like to stop by there before heading over to Book People. Very accomodating, and the music is sold right next door!
