| About: | This hidden treasure was rated one of the top 20 sushi restaurants in the nation by a guidebook for Japanese tourists. The traditional sushi and sashimi are served in an elegant, vibrant atmosphere. It also caters to the not-so-adventurous palate with tempura and teriyaki dishes. The sushi regular or deluxe platters are also offered with an all-cooked option. The 'Born in the USA' variety of the menu offers various takes on the California roll and other American sushi hybrids. In addition, the Asparagus Roll is simply divine. |

I took my significant other to this highly reviewed sushi restaurant and we did not have a good experience. First, the hostess was bossy and basically demanded we sit in a certain area. Second, the sushi was served in very small portions and was very overpriced. We have not eaten sushi all over the world but we both know great sushi when we eat it and this was nothing special. Finally, the write up and the reviews about the restaurant were very misleading as this place was supposed to be a special place for dining on sushi. It was not for us!
so-so.: i thought musashino was okay, it wasn't great or anything. i personally prefer mikado.
Best in Austin so far: This rating is based on the quality and taste of the sushi only, which is all i care about when i want to eat sushi. I am very picky in this sense. That being said, i have yet to find a better sushi restaurant in Austin. If i do, maybe this rating will change. Until then, 5 stars.

What was "not great" about it? Quality of the fish? The rice? Presentation? The only thing Musashino leaves to complain about is price, but if you want good sushi then cost really isn't a factor.
P. Martinez cut and paste his review from Mikado. word for word. If you are going to bash the competition you should be less obvious. Although... your trick of commenting on reviews instead of giving an actual review does a great job of covering your tracks. sneaky sneaky,
