Parent of an AHS student during the Spellman 'epoque' here. Awful district and awful school. There's rampant drug use among students. Just take a walk on the Town Lake trail during class hours and you'll see the kids and their dope.
AISD is too big for its own good and has more than its fair share of imbecile administrators (Forgione comes to mind) and inept teachers. Political correctness has rotten their brains (see the current superintendent search fiasco). If the average AISD graduates are our future leaders, then we're doomed. Time to move to Iraq. -

I like fun. It is a nice place. Nice benches, too. And the choir is awesome.
