I just took my car to Champion Toyota today for it's 40,000 mile service. I had an appointment at 10:00...it took over 5 minutes to get through the line of cars to turn in my keys...2-1/2 hours later my car had not been touched! I had to leave to go pick up a sick kiddo and could not wait any longer! I will not be back for service and will not ever purchase a car from them either due this experience. Did I mention the customer lounge was so full there were not seats available most of the time?

FRAUD!! FRAUD! FRAUD! FRAUD! FRAUD! FRAUD! FRAUD!
There is major fraud going on in the SERVICE dept!
All the way from the service manager, Keith Hennessy, to the service advisor!!
Here is our story...u will be amazed!
Our 2008 Toyota Sequoia broke down while on vacation...the brakes locked up, the vehicle would not go and it smelled like burnt rubber. Sad to say...it was towed to Champion Toyota. We did not purchase vehicle from them. They happen to be the nearest dealership. They checked it and came back to say the brake fluid was contaminated with power steering fluid....it will cost u $7,000 to fix it..we can have it ready in 2 days...easy. They were 100% sure it had power steering fluid. Oh...warranty will not cover due to human error. Well we are educated consumers...not idiots off the street. It is very obvious to the naked eye to see power steering fluid in brake fluid. We knew we had not contaminated vehicle and Firestone had not either..(they change our oil). They were pointing the finger at Firestone. Happy to say...we had vehicle towed back home by a private mechanic...he removed some brake fluid from the resorvoir. I sent it to a lab in california...and to no surprise the vehicle has no water or power steering fluid contamination. In the meantime we are awaiting Champion Toyota to send their own sample to their own lab (they had retrieved prior to us towing vehicle away from their lot). They also saved us a sample so we can do our own testing...which we did pick up at a later time. About a month later they notify us of results. "it is contaminated with water...10 times the normal amount...not power steering fluid". Here is where it gets even more susupicious. They refused to release us their lab results...stating it was "proprietary information". In the meantime, I send the sample they gave me and guess what? it has no contamination of anything.
I ended taking vehicle to another Toyota dealership months later(vehicle had not been driven because it was deemed a road hazard)and guess what? there was no contamination of brake fluid. The brake rotors were warped. So warranty covered it.
There is plenty of fraud going on in the service dept. The manager, Keith, stated at one point..."it is what it is, I have been doing this for 25 yrs and see this all the time". I think he really meant he was commiting fraud for 25 yrs. What school did he go to?
So...NEEDLESS TO SAY...WE HAVE A HECK OF A CASE OF FRAUD.
IF U HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN i SUGGEST U NOTIFY ATTORNEY GENERAL...THEY HAVE BEEN VERY HELPFUL.
We will definitely see these people in court!

Their service department is horrible, and it is always so sloooow!!! The only reason I visted was because they offered free oil changes to anyone that bought a car there, for the life of the car.
I get up at 6:30 one morning to be there at 7:00 when they opened. When I got there there was already about 20 cars ahead of me. Finally, someone gets to me at about 7:30. He asks me if I bought my car at Champion, I say yes, then I tell him I came for an oil change. He tells me I'm looking at a 1.5 to 2 hour wait, so I go to the noisy overcrowded waiting room. He comes in like 15 min later to try and sell me a $600 maintenance package, I tell him no thanks. He gets angry and tells me my oil change is going to be $40 because I bought my vehicle used. I had ben getting my oil changed for free for the last 2.5 years. He responded, that it was not supposed to be done for free and if I wanted my oil changed today, it would be $40. I was not about to wait 2 hours and pay him $40 for a basic oil change, which has to be the highest price in the city of Austin. I told him to bring me my car and I left.
