I have had worse service at lesser restaurants but for the price of Eddie V's the experience was one of the worst I have ever experienced. We went for happy hour, told the waiter we were new to the restaurant, and then were completely ignored for the next 20 minutes despite me making eye contact with the waiter on two occasions. If this is how new customers are treated I'd hate to see how regulars are treated. Maybe they should invest in little Eddie V flags you can raise at the table so the wait staff knows you need something. This is the kind of treatment you'd expect at a greasy spoon not a place as pricey as Eddie V's. Other people have noted the slow service as well so it's not just us.
This is the worst "nice" restaraunt in Austin. Over cooked Tuna and poor service. No return call from the manager after three calls and two emails. Go across the street to Trulucks.
We just went to Eddie V's for our 20th wedding anniversary. We had a great time. The food, drinks and the service were great. Everyone was so nice and the atmosphere was very good. They even gave us a free desert (which was delicious) for our anniversary. We we will defintely go again, more likely on special occassions since it is expensive (but worth the money).
