This was some of the BEST PIZZA I have had in a long time. So few places can make a real New York style pizza that tastes great and has that wonderful crust that you have to fold to eat. I have never been to Leakey before but was told there was good pizza in town, but didn't expect that! We ordered a 16" and I ate two thirds of it myself, we even had slices leftover for breakfast the next day at our campsite. We are planning a trip to Garner gain in a few weeks and WE WILL BE BACK!!!

Not sure what is up with the review below mine (liberrylady), all I can say is always a few nuts out there that would make up false reviews for some personal gain.

I come from a real Italian family that has pizzerias in the north east and this is great pizza that would make them proud to server.

It's a 500 mile trip, but I will be back again and again.

TERRIBLE. We should have noticed the others leaving their food uneaten, especially the big teenage boys who would normally eat anything. It wasn't just bad, it made my husband sick (he's the only one who ate more than a taste).

If they had tasted this food before it went out, they would have known instantly something was hinky--the sauce, the meat, or the herbs.

$40 for food poisoning is a little steep.

A little taste of Italy tucked away in Leakey, TX: If you've been wanting delicious Italian food..........and haven't found it--you haven't been to Leakey, Texas! A great menu, with incredibly delicious food, and very moderate prices! We stumbled onto this place almost 3 years ago, returning from a trip to the Big Bend---and now we go at least once a week, either for lunch or dinner!! It's great! The owners, Sal & Winnie will greet you, visit with you, and go out of their way to serve you an Italian meal you will enjoy to the max! Our personal favorites are manicotti..........chicken marsala,
and the brisket pizza! Ummmmmmmmmm!!! You may bring your own wine, and they'll provide wine glasses and the corkscrew! It's a place, where you feel so comfortable, and you can relax and enjoy the company of others--
Once you've been there..........you too, will be HOOKED ON VINNY'S!!!
