Rachael Ray this would have made your day!!!: I found this place on the internet. I was going on a three day break from Houston with some friends and told them about Bill and Rosa's. We decided to eat dinner there the first night. From the outside it looks like an unassuming small town eatery and then you go in and WOW!!! The atmosphere is worth driving out of the way for alone but add to it the ultra great service ( FRANKIE YOU RULE!!!) and you have a must stop in place. I ordered the chicken fried steak and split it with one of the girls. The other two girls ordered the chicken fried steak as well and the pork chops. The steak was enormous. You can get half orders and i advise doing that if your eating one for yourself. Yes i know you see it said alot about steaks being big and then you get there and the steak is about average and not really all that...that is not the case when you come here. I advise diners to split the steak it is huge. If you choose the squash as a vegatable you will not be dissapointed it is wonderfull as is the broccoli. You really cant go wrong with anything on the menu. I hope you get Frankie on your trip there she is a wonderful woman and she has great suggestions that will help you decide the course of your dinner. Make sure you take some time to check out all the wonderful decore there is plenty of eye candy there. Also definatly worth mentioning is the general store next door. The people are the nicest you can hope to find we came right at 8 (closing time) and they kept the store open for us. They have some really pretty jewlery in the case at really reasonable prices and on the right hand wall as you walk in is some old fashioned candy by the pound at a really cheap $1.99 a pound . My favorite was salt water taffy, lil baby bit o honeys and baby chic o sticks. The owner is a doll and the cashier is nice as can be. This is a part of america everyone should experience in thier life time The hill country of texas is beautifull and and the people we meet that night are as well.
