i have eaten at schobels for several years from going to bastrop to play golf.i just happen to read the reviews on this site. have not been thur there for a while. the reviews said the service was bad and and a bunch of kids was running the place,and i thought well maybe they hired some school kids during the summer. so i stopped by to eat and the service was as bad as they say. i ate a plate of food without a refill no one would take the dirty plates off the table. i finely got the attention of the waitress to get a refill and she did bring one and left the plates setting their. i had to put them on another table . so with all that said i will not be dining at schobels again.

Schobel's was once a great restaurant. I agree they are now being taken over by teenagers and the owners grown children. The first thing the new manger did was to make it cool put a bar in etc. The owner needs to worry about the service his young staff is giving not how cool he wants his restaurant to be. I remember the old staff and the knew how to takecare of you. Now it's all about playing the game in at town full of new restarants! Wake up treat people like the want to be treated! On a good note the food is still GREAT!!
