"Where do I begin, the sweet love story? " Maple iced cinnamon rolls, heavy buttermilk cakes, crispy apple fritters and on and on and on. The best way to get these is hot which you can usually do until about 9:30 or 10:00a.m.. Amarillo Texas' own local chain with one store in Canyon have such a unique strangle hold on Amarillo that even Krispy Kreme couldn't compete. Amarillo's unique for it's loyalty to local chains, being a town sporting Toot n Totum convenience stores that drove out 7-11's years ago, to be followed by the Donut Stop/Krispy Kreme saga years later.

The stores are always clean & the help usually friendly, or polite enough. One particular thing being the people working the drive-ups aren't usually teenagers but usually adults! Not that I have anything against teenagers, it's just refreshing I'll admit. The Grand Street store seems to employ only Hispanic's but hey, it's the East Side so I guess it's okay. The rest of the stores seem to be more "ethnically diverse".

The doughnuts are consistent throughout the chain. The Georgia Street store doesn't carry apple fritters though, they carry "peach" fritters which is my least favorite item. Ah-hem. They're really not very good while the comparative apple fritter at the other stores is a greasy, addicting, crunchy delight.
