everyone in amarillo thinks this is the best Mexican place in town. The food is ok. Service is fair.

thank every one for the reviews, they are very helpful to encourage staff and attempt to eliminate mistakes and retrain certain staff members. i do check them on occasion and post them for my staff to read and train. muchas gracias JORGE

Brutal. I ate there tonight for the second time in the past few months. I am a business traveler to Amarillo, and I'm always looking for new places.

1st time food was OK, but the service was poor.

Went back this time to give it another try. What a mistake. I won't be going back.

Staff is terribly indifferent toward customers. They seem distracted, and distant-like they really don't want to be there. This is especially true in the small bar area.

Owner/Manager(?) finally had to speak with the bartenders to provide any service to the second row of bar chairs. Poor guy. Lots of staff all standing around, and he's waiting on customers.

The men's restroom is also a problem. Try taking a pee in the one urinal-it's not quite right. Then try rinsing your hands in the fancy mexican-style lav bowl. The faucet sits too far back within the bowl, making it difficult to have water actually hitting your hands. What's the deal with only one urinal with so many people eating there? Oh yeah, watch yourself when drying your hands--you're bound to get smacked in the head by someone coming in the door!@

Paid my check (without an itemized bill provided to me), and the bartender snags a half-pack of cigarettes I had laying near my dirty dishes while clearing my area--Nice!

Food was awful. Had the Mexican platter. 2 Enchiladas, and 2 Tacos. The fried tortilla used for the tacos was so chewy, I thought about spitting it out several times. The beef in all was burned, tasteless, and dry-yuck!

The chips also have this stale/chewy feel about them. Kind of novel for a while, but not so solid in the longer run.

Fire half your staff who are clearly indifferent about serving your customers which will scare the remaining half into performing like they should. I asked the blonde bartender for a menu, and she copped an attitude that screamed--"I can't believe you want to eat--I might have to serve you".

The place was packed, and stayed packed well into the 9 o'clock hour. No idea what the attraction is here.
