    This is my favorite restaurant in Lubbock. I have been eating at Abuelo's since I was a kid and the food has always been great. I even waited tables there as one of my first jobs. I usually won't eat at a place if I've worked there but Abuelo's is the exception. They have exceptionally high standards in the preparation and presentation of the food, not to mention that the customer service is exceptional. This is the best mexican in Lubbock. Some people who claim to prefer "authentic" mexican laugh at that statement but for my money this is the best.

    Good for a nice date and the food here is excellent. Salsa is very good
