Excellent Bar-B-Que. Sweetwater should be proud to have such tasty food. I always stop when traveling through. Prices are reasonable. Good food is never cheap. You get what you pay for. Love the ambiance.
The bar b-que is good but price is high. Not enough food for the buck. Bucks gives you enough food but is real high for steaks. Wish Big Boys had steaks. But we do not need the high prices. Cheaper to drive to Abilene for different food.
Awesome BBQ - easily the best in Sweetwater and possibly the best in West Texas. I also love their digs. The first time we went I was a little scared to go in. It really IS just a tin shack on the outskirts of town with the worst parking imaginable -huge mudholes and ruts around it. It's by the parking lot of an old, decrepit bowling alley and a nursing home. When you walk in, though... oh wow. The decor is stone cold artsy West Texas, and the tangy smell of BBQ just smacks you right in the hungry. My husband and I are from out of town, and every time we come to visit this is our first stop for food. The BBQ sauce is fantastic, potato salad is perfect, the brisket and ribs are tender, and the sausage is mighty tasty. Lemon tea is perfect. Ummm--ummm. Complaints are few: beans aren't as great as the place deserves. We think they're a little tasteless. Peach cobbler is too sweet for me and served cold when I think it would be much better hot. That's personal opinion, though. I'm sure many would disagree and say that it's perfect. Thanks, Big Boys - I hope you last for many years.
