Okay lots of mixed reviews about this one. I'm from San Antonio and beleive me they got some killer Mexican restuarants down there. I'm sad to say I've eaten Alfredo's twice. Both times I was dragged their by guys who didn't know any better. They use the same meat for every dish. And a microwave has no place in a mexican restuarant. But if your not use to good mexican food then I suppose you wouldn't mind the place. I give it 3 stars because it is bearable.
I love this place. They always get our order right and give large portions of food.
I can't tell you enough how bad it was. I literally cried the entire time my family was eating. The hot sauce was like they took a can of tomato sauce and added in very little seasoning and onions and then called it hot sauce. I looked for reviews before we went and the one I read said they had the best guacamole anywhere so I tried it. It was well seasoned but.... it was toooo whipped and there was so much filler it didn't look like guacamole anymore. my family was disappointed after the hot sauce was so bad but I told them that there were great reviews and the rest of the food should be better....WRONG! I ordered 2 enchiladas with nothing else on the plate. I know I'm strange but I don't like salad and i never want it on my plate with the rest of my food. But it had a salad on it. I am always careful to request it be left off. Next it was all microwaved... I watched him do it. That is very sad. Then my family was not happy with the food and I am a story all in itself. I really thought I screwed up when I get to see huge chunks of tomato in my enchiladas. Not just tomatoes but... you know when you slice a tomato and you throw away that end??? I got the end... in an enchilada ewww.... I'm not really good at being vocal when my meal is screwed up so instead I cried a few tears cause I was hungry and ordered french fries cause I figured they couldn't mess that up. But.... I waited more than 10 minutes and nothing so we left and they made all the money... I want to scream for not doing better and demanding my money back.
... From this I have learned a few tips for you all when looking to try a new restaurant
for Mexican food.
1. if it looks sad it probably is.
2. if you walk in and it doesn't smell good... that should tell you something.

I agree it is bearable, but It's never my first choice. I don't like the smell of the one on 14th street. The new one is better though. My friends love it but I can tell you it's because it's hearty and they don't skimp.
