OK. I have been coming here for a few years now and it is very disappointing that the decor never changes. The place always looks shabby. It can use a nice makeover. Especially the outdoor patio. This can certainly be a plus for us regulars. As for the food, there are days when the dishes are tastier than others. The portions are good for the price but the place just needs to spice things up a bit.
The local media keeps saying that this is the 'best Italian Restaurant" in the city, but it is totally not true. I will never eat there again! The noodles for my spaghetti were uncooked...not al dente, but raw. And the sauce was watered down! The salad was served old and brown and the "cook" tried to cover it up by drowning it with cheap dressing they got at Wal-Mart. I didn't finish my raw ravioli either. I took some home to my mother and a few hours later she became constipated!!! Maybe this restaurant used to be good but the owners have let it go down the toilet. This is a terrible place to eat. When friends tell me that they had a good experience at either one of the locations I think that they have gone INSANE!!! The people of El Paso have not experienced good Italian food from a restaurant. If you are reading this review try "Ardovino's" on Zaragoza or Cincinnati Street (they only have pizza and subs but they are the best in the city!) Or try Marcello's. You'll be happy you did!
WOW, $30 dollars down the drain!! The only thing "good" was the salad. The garlic bread was cold, soggy, and had almost no taste of garlic. The baked lasagna was cold, watered down and overall a mushy flavorless mess. I was there last sat and it totally disappointed me. As far as their chicken parm sub it sucked too. The sauce was watered down and served cold. The service wasn't good either.
