First of all, the negotiation took place through email,
Everything went as normal, we were negotiating the final price of a 2009 Civic, in the process the salesman from Rudolph sent me the total for TT&L. Finally, we reached a point where I received a really good offer, where he promised to beat El Paso Honda's offer. The only thing I needed was the final price with TT&L since I was going to pay with a check (I wasn't planning to finance through them).
He kind of dismissed my question and went ahead to congratulate me for my decision and asked to give him my info to start the paperwork, I politely asked again for the total, here is when things went sour, he sent me a price that not only was just 200 dlls more than the total of his very 1st offer but at the end, I was going to end up paying more than with El Paso Honda. I replied by asking him to clarify this, and included his previous email where he detailed the fees for TT&L, and asked him to show me where were the savings and discount he had promised. This seemed as if the TT&L fees went up in a matter of a week "or" he pretended to take me for a fool.
His response was, and I quote, "Thank you for your interest!! If anything changes please let me know."
Bottom line, he wanted to take me for a fool who didn't know how to do math. Avoid this dealership, they are tricky if you let them, check everything thoroughly before signing any papers, it's your money and they should be working for you, not the other way around.
I bought my 2002 Pontiac Grand Am SE from these guys and was very disappointed to find out that my car had actually been in an accident prior to purchasing it. Don't get me wrong, my car has been awesome and I have never had any problems with it but a little honesty would have been nice. I had to purchase a carfax report to find out about the fender benders. These people will say just about anything to sell a car and get their commission. They really need to stop jerking people around. You wouldn't have a paycheck or your precious commission without your customers.
Beware: customer service disappointing. they have nothing but young kids who are not mature enough. The car pool service they have is by far the worst in el paso. once again another young but also unsafe driver!!
