User Rating: 4 out of 5 starsLess than professional service and attitude are the only thing that prevent Sunset from being a 5-Star Pizzeria. The bad attitude comes from the surley and rude owner and is passed on to the staff.
Real wood fired oven!!! Wonderful pizzas, soups, calzones, execellent salads and great beer selection.
If the place offered Counter Service rather than having to deal with the waitstaff, it would be ideal.
User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsEl Paso's Best Pizza: Finding a tasty pizza in El Paso was impossible until I found Sunset Pizza... Sunset Pizza prepares some very good personal sized "New York" style pies. Try the homemade Italian sausage... I no longer lament for good pizza in El Paso - I just head over to Sunset Pizza! Awesome!
User Rating: 3 out of 5 starsAwesome food, awful service!: In spite of the service, my boyfriend, my friends and I visit Sunset Brewery & Pizzeria quite often. Our favorite menu items are Chicken Chipotle Pizza and Vesubio Calzone. I often try their soup of the day and they are great as well. However, I must complain about the service. It is often difficult to get a servers attention. Just yesterday we walked in and had to wait 15 minutes to even get a menu. One server was cleaning tables and taking care of customers while the other server was standing behind the bar chatting with a female customer. When our order was finally taken, the server was kind enough to put a rush on or order. Unfortunately once the food came, he forgot about our table. We were offered refills after we had finished our meal. When we asked for the check and a box, we had to wait 20 minutes. I noticed that several other customers had to get up and ask for menus and for their checks as well. Sitting there I had to consider whether the food was really worth putting up with such bad service. I suggest either hire more wait staff and invest some money on training or do away with the wait staff and have customers order as they enter and have them pick up their own order when its ready.
