User Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMy son and I visited the Woodward Ranch in January of 2009. The weather was great and it was a fun excursion on our way to Big Bend NP. Mrs. Woodward gave us a quick lesson in identifying agates and hopefully a whole 'biscuit'. We spent a couple of hours impersonating geologists and had a great time. We took home a bunch of small agates to run through the rock tumbler and even a few biscuits that we could cut if we had the equipment. We enjoyed seeing the Woodwards gem collection and they are very hospitable. We both agreed that it would be worth the drive to visit again and maybe camp out.
