    Recomneded to me by a co-worker as a place to take my Dad. This place has some really good food. how ever i filled up on the free block of cheese and delishious bread! well worth going, great service and good prices for a good steak.

    Went to the Barn Door and decided I wanted some prime rib, based on a recommendation from my son. The menu listed 4 sizes, so I deciced on the "Engineers Cut" which was not the smallest cut but the next one up. I also ordered mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables.

    Once you have ordered, they bring out a small loaf of bread and a block of cheese with a peeler. The bread is still warm and wonderful, and the cheese is a great chedder with just a bit of sharpness.

    When the prime rib came I was amazed. The cut was huge (so glad I didn't order one of the bigger ones). It was roasted (not grilled) to perfection (nedium rare), melt-in-your-mouth tender, and came with a mild horseradish sauce. The thing was so big, I took home a piece large enough for my daughter's dinner when she got off work that evening. The vegetables were tender (not mushy) and tasted great, as did the potatoes.

    The service is exceptional, and the atmosphere is quiet.

    In the past I was not overly impressed with the Barn Door becasue I believed them to be more than just a little pricey. That has changed, and they are more than reasonable. All in all one of the best in the area.
