At best an average Restaurant.
My wife and I had been wanting to go for a few years but never went since it was quite a drive from the Westside of town. It was our anniversary and we figured why not go to a nice place even if it was a ways to drive. Much to our dismay, it was a great disappointment. The food was overpriced and the quality of the food was comparable to that of a Furr's Cafeteria. The Steak we ordered appeared to have been cooked on a griddle vs. a grill, therefore making it cold and tough. We spoke to the Ron (Manager on Duty) and were told he would speak to the Manager the next day about our experience. A week later and still no response from either one of them. Called the Restaurant again and spoke to Judy (Manager) and she informed us she was aware of the situation and had already spoken to the owners, however had not gotten a response from them. It didn't seem like anyone cared about what had happened.
The only highlight of this evening was our Waiter Ivan, who had some of the best customer service skills we had experienced in a very long time. If you are looking for a great baked potato (not the potato casserole) and don't mind paying $25 for it this is the place to go. If you want a great steak, try Cattlemens in Fabens or the Great American on Alabama.
GREAT: Literally on the edge of Texas
but trully awsome food.
You will enjoy yourself very much
Great place to relax after a trip: We got here afater we a trip to Alamagordo and we were tired. The atmoshphere was great and the food was just plain great. We were pampered, no having to ask for anything except our orders. Five stars on a great evening.
