When I lived in El Paso I had gone there around 5-8 times. Food is great! There is a wait if you go during the evening hours. Traveled to El Paso this weekend and took the boyfriend along. This place has the BEST nachos I have ever had. Go just for the nachos grandes if need be. Only annoying thing wasnt the place at all, it was the group of heckling girls, and I say girls cuz although they were drinking they were loud and obnoxious, and they had no manners, cursing in every other sentence, and talking to each other as if they were trying to find each other across a crowded room. Conversing w/the boyfriend was limited. High heels and potty mouths dont give ya class girlies. Back to the review, good food, decent prices, a wait is expected, and high heeled chavalas are for sure there.
My wife and I went today during lunch. There was alot of people but hardly no wait time. I had never been there before today, but my wife had been there before and liked it. She wanted me to try it and so we went. The price was reasonable. It wasn't like fast food resturants where they just rush with very thing. The wait staff was polite and respectful we thought. The food was AWESOME! We ordered the Mickey's Burger and it came with fries and that is all we had and it filled us both up. My wife was asking me if I wanted some fried ice cream or other desserts, but I was too full after the burger. We highly suggest this resturant for anyone that comes to El Paso!
What can be said about Carlos and Mickeys? I say let the restraunt speak for itself! The traditional Mexican atmosphere is very welcoming and very entertaining along with the mariache band that frequents the restraunt. The food is superb for a small town restraunt and with very filling portions for the price.
I have been all across this nation and I look forward to twice a year spending a week in El Paso and dining at this excellent restraunt.
