From a 5 star to awful. Was one of the best Chinese Restaurants in our area, in fact, it may have been the best. We have eaten there or had take out at least 20 times. The past 6, the food has been awful, but we kept going back remembering how good it once was. This last time, and I mean LAST, even the soup was terrible and had to be thrown out with the rest of the meal. We will never go back.

As the name says, I grew up in a BIG Chinese family even though I'm Norske by birth. The best food in the Universe was always at Grandma Chin's house - especially at Chinese New Year! Rose Garden is the first time in many years that I've come close to Grandma Chin's food. I always listen to hear if real Chinese (Chung Kuo) is spoken at a Chinese Restaurant as a clue to authenticity. The family who runs Rose Garden is the real thing - not Vietnamese, Thai or something else. Thank you to the other reviewers who led me to this little slice of heaven. It ROCKS! Now don't tell anybody. We'll keep this our little secret, OK?

The food quality has come down to maybe a 3 1/2 star. We have gone back several time and the food is always overly cooked. Some fried items we were unable to chew, this has happened several times recently. This was a really great place until about a year ago. Time to look for another place to eat.
