Just saw Marron 5 & Counting Crows there and had a great time. Found parking easily within a short walk from the amphitheatre and best of all it was FREE! This was my first concert at this venue and I must say we really enjoyed ourselves. We brought our kids, so we weren't "partying" like so many others were that night...and we had a group of people who sat behind us that clearly had too much to drink and they proceeded to talk LOUDLY during most of M5's performance...luckily they didn't stick around for the second part of the show and we were able to enjoy The Crows in peace. Come to think of it..there were too many people talking more than they were listening, which I found odd. Why the heck would you pay so much for a ticket (and to obviously drink) when you aren't even paying attention to what's happening on stage? This comment applies to the woman around me, more so than the men. At one point the ladies behind me were so loud, they were actually competing with the music! It was the one time I wished the music would have been louder! The weather was perfect..clear Colorado skies and fresh night air made it all the better. We had reserved seats this time, but would consider the lawn seats, as it looked as if those who sat there were having a great time as well. I had read negative things about the sound in this venue, but I have to say I thought the sound was great!! Overall great experience..the location is a bit out of the way for us, but worth the drive. Would consider staying over in Denver for the right show. I liked that you were allowed to bring in a bottle of water and food, so we got off cheap. But, if you plan on drinking..you'll pay $8 or $9 for a beer. Had a great time and will put this venue on my list for great places to see a concert for next summer, as this was their last show for the season!
