About:Just the fact that this common-looking sub shop, The Spicy Pickle has managed to survive downtown's competitive dining scene is remarkable, but even more remarkable is that in less than two years it has managed to create a huge following. Its ability to offer "mmm-this-is delicious" type sandwiches is its draw. All subs come on Italian loaf bread and offer an amazing array of options including 12 meats, 14 spreads and 13 cheeses. The panini sandwiches are just as popular. All food is counter-ordered.

A Favorite Treat: The pickles are what hooked me, thanks to a co-worker who brings back extras, but once I actually tasted the sandwiches.... MMMMMMMMMMMM!!! I'm hooked on the Gobbler, which is turkey, artichoke hearts, feta cheese and sun dried tomato mayo... Haven't been able to bring myself to try any others, since I'm so hooked on this one!!! 10th and Lincoln in Denver is the only location I've tried so far, but there's apparently one in Ft. Collins too... If there's one near you, be sure to give it a try!

Best Sandwiches EVER!: I LOVE the Spicy Pickle. I'm not usually into sandwiches but theirs are special. They have so many choices of fixings, you can try something totally different every visit. The menu is really amazing. When I worked walking distance from a Spicy Pickle I used to go every day. I didn't actually try the whole menu because I kept coming up with a new favorite and then eating that all the time for weeks. But it's funny, I love pickles but I have a love-hate thing with their spicy kind. Oh well, it's all good.
