CLOSED NOVEMBER 2007
I recently visited and went back to Duffy's for a trip down memory lane from when I lived in Denver during most of the 1970's. I was very sad to see Duffy's is no longer in business, so many great memories from there. But I suppose time marches on with or without us. The building was still there in June 2008 and the old sign on the building was inside the mostly dismantled bar room. What a change to downtown too. No longer a haven for cheap, but good home style eats where folks of all backgrounds could go and be comfortable.
Good bye old friend, you will live on in my fondest memories of my days in Denver.

Put some Irish in your Coffee: Duffy's was the only restaurant open on Sunday when I was passing through Denver and it was a treat to learn about the history of the restaurant (conveniently printed on the place-mats). Our server was excellent and although the food was somewhat pedestrian, the ambience was delightful, with shamrock door-handles and neon signs advertising Irish Coffee. The 72-foot bar was definitely impressive.
