| About: | El Chapultepec, at first glance, is just another aging dive bar serving up traditional Mexican tastes on paper plates in downtown. But even though the great green chili draws plenty of patrons, it is the jazz performances that hold prominence in this place. Local as well as some national legends crowd into the small dining room filled with tacky vinyl booths and play just about every night of the year. Since the LoDo revitalization, this has become a trendy nightspot, so expect a big crowd. |

Stopped by a couple weeks ago on a Thursday night. Cool place to hangout and listen to great music. Freddy Rodriguez and his band were great and the guy that sat-in from Texas, Duane Vincent... was terrific!
Mexican food and live Jazz 7 days a week!: One of my favorite spots in Downtown Denver! Mexican/American cuisine that can only be rated fair, but we go there for the live jazz, which is alway great and the prices are good. Besides, there's never a cover charge!
We love this place!: We've always felt at home at "The Pec". Great service, great atmosphere. Small, but just right for good jazz, good food, and good times. Just remember not to dance! (The signs say so.) We loooove this place and never hesitate to drop in for drinks and good Mexican food.
