Yes there are trendy people and if you know someone who works there you may get good service, if not good luck. The food is very over priced the things I have had are average but not worth the money. The main problem is the managers there are stuck up and pretentious and if you look like you are actualy enjoying yourself at this overpriced tequila and snob emporium then you will be asked to leave as one of my freinds was after literally 3 beers. I guess he was smiling to much for this dark haired coke head manger or he did not like his sandals. Maybe the managers would be better off making sure the patrons were having a good time rather than their personal opinion of people then I might give this place another chance only cuz the hot woman...Definitly not for the food
probably the worst: This is probably the worst mexican food I have ever had. We were taken there by a friend who probably thought the food was good because trendy people frequent the place. It was horrible. 8 dollars for the gimmicky tableside guacamole served with some of the coldest most stale tortilla chips started off the meal. Fresh chips? even some of the cheapest hole in the wall places got that down, and their guacamole is a whole lot better. Then after waiting about lets say 30 minutes(I'm being generous here) we got our food. I ordered the tilapia at 23 dollars a plate and the couldnt seem to figure out how to filet it. Well done, a whole fish gutted and seasoned and breaded then deep fried, I've had more inventive recipes camping and fileted to boot. My wife had the lamb and for the small portion she was served she ate about half and decided that she was done with her torture. Well our friends who seemed to be doing well with their sangria which apparantley helps you choke down the food couldn't seem to be getting the last of the overpriced shrimp down so they had another sangria. If you want to get good mexican food search elsewhere, seriously.
Consistenly Great!: Have been to Lola's several times, and it fits the evening in every situation - date night, happy hour, get together with friends. Will go again soon!
