WARNING! Carmine's is no longer the great restaurant it used to be. The food is only ok and the attitude of the manager is appauling. We had to stare at empty dirty plates and had to ask to have the table cleared. Our group of 10 (1 small child did not eat) we were told they do not serve a group over 8. But we were charged 20% tip for NOT BEING SERVED! We approached the owner/manager and he told us "Well, you can leave now!!" Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to spend your dining dollars.
designed to be noisy with all hard surfaces and high ceilings. we had to yell at each other even though we were very close together - chairs crammed in with no elbow room. very a la carte - entrees came with no sides or garnish - a white serving of chicken on a big white plate. Food was tasty especially garlic knots. $60 bottle of Italian red - you must be kidding. an expensive, unpleasant experience. we'll never go back.
Omg what a meal. Went with 3 others and we all split 2 entrees (veal marsala and that Italian jambalaya thing), an appetizer (antipasti), and dessert (chocolate chip cannolis). Hands down the best family style meal I've ever had. Enough food for us all, and we all took home leftovers. We were seated right on time for our reservation, and enjoyed the entire evening.
