| About: | If you are looking for a budget-priced, family-friendly Italian restaurant, consider this north Denver institution. Carl's Pizzeria has been serving pizza, spaghetti, and other Italian fare from its modest location on 38th Avenue since 1953. Decor consists of plain white walls and vinyl tablecloths, but the friendly service always makes you feel welcome. Bring the kids and spread out in a spacious booth as you wait for your order. Pizza, obviously, is the item of choice. Limited delivery is available. |

Well I have nothing but good things to say about Carl's Pizza.Me and Poppa would be sitting watching and old western. When he would turn to me and say,'Lets order some pizza from Carl's' The first time I was not sure what I was in for. Well when the pizza got there it was nice chunks of sausage. Home made I mite add and the sauce and cheese just made this pizza, 'Some of the best pizza I have ever tasted', Of course thats next to mine lol. This cooking is what you come back for more of. From then on when I heard him say those words I new we would be having some good food to eating in a little bit.
My family has been going to Carl's for forever,my Dad even worked there in High School and still shares tells of Carl in the basement playing poker with his old "gangster" buddies.I live in Texas now and I still crave Carl's pizza!
Our family has been eating at Carl's since it first opened. It is by far the best Pizza in Colorado - Hands Down. Their Sausage is wonderful as a topping and in the sandwich. It has changed little over the years inside - but that is part of the charm. We used to eat at the other location on 44th ave as well back in the 70's before it closed. I hope that Carl's is around for many more years to come.
