Nice place for Brunch: Brunch is nice here. A good selection of food and they make fresh smoothies for you. The omelettes are good too. The pricce is high and it is crowded.
Can You Hear Me?: I recently went on a date to the Washington Park Grille. It was classy, romantic, the food was great, the service was impeccable, however, I have to say, WOW..was it loud in there. I could hardly even carry on a conversation with my date. I would not recommend this restaurant for a family, or for couples, or for individuals, but for take-out..it's perfect.
What a Dinner!: Having never been before but hearing nothing but good things we were very anxious. My Dad and his wife were visiting from out of town and we were looking for a quaint spot to visit in Denver. Entering the restaurant you are greeted by friendly staff and a warm atomsphere. We moved our way to the bar where big overstuffed couches and velvet drapes await you along with glowing candles everywhere and what bar would be complete without a pool table. We ordered cocktails and then soon we were escorted to our table. We were very surprised by the menu with it's wonderful selection and modest prices. Each of us ordered something different and we all shared the wonderful food. The service was impeccable and I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. They do no take reservations on the weekend so be prepared for a leisurely experience but worth every minute. Bon Apetit
PS - I highly recommend the 50's Ice Cream Parlor next door for dessert . . .leave room!!!! The Pumpkin Pie Ice Cream was out ot this world!!
Next Time I'll Go there with a Date I LIKE!: went to the washington park grill back in 2003, the food was good, although they could use real fettichini instead of egg noodles, but it was tasty, too bad my date wasn't, but the restaurant really made up for that. The service was phenomenal, and the atmosphere romantic, if I was in love and my man took me there, (although I hate the idea purposing marriage at a restaurant in general) and he POPPED the questions, I totally say yes! I like it that much, The tables are small and cozy, but it still has a way of making you feel like you're the only ones there, even-though it was packed.
After dinner, we headed to the bar ( I just had to get a break from my date, even-though he was right next to me) "I'll take a Gin Martini Please, extra Olives" That's my test for a good bar, the olives, if the guy/girl only gives me 3, they're out, but if they give me a shot glass full, HOME RUN! And even more better if they don't give me the house gin, but the GOOD gin! So I give them 5 stars cause they have such great generous service that you guessed it, I got a shot of olives with my martini that night and the bartender even gave me a cigarette!
Any hots guys want to take me out to the wash park grille....???
Amazing Eats: This place is great! Sunday brunch all you can eat, and it's not your typical grimpy buffet style restaurant this place has class and ambiance to a tee! The food was very appetizing and well worth the $17 I paid for it, you have unlimted bagels, freash smoothies, eggs cooked to your liking ect. They also serve appeasing mimosa's great for a Sunday morning!
I will definately go back again and again.
Never let down: Although pricey enough to be saved for special occasions -- I never hesitate to choose the Washington Park Grille for quiet celebrations or very romantic dinners. The food is excellent -- the service quite good too. I'd recommend doing the wine by the glass though, despite the waiter's suggestion of the demi bottle -- the bottle is less wine and more expensive over all.
I keep wanting it to be good...: Great location, great ambiance, but the food is always only ok at best. Every time I go I am hoping that it will be better. I WANT it to be better, but it just isn't. Great for a drink, but not for food.
