| About: | With Blue Corn Griddle Cakes, Shrimp Burritos and fresh made guacamole, North Denver was blessed with the arrival of Julia Blackbird's New Mexican Cafe. It began with only a few tables and Julia cooking with the wisdom of her Spanish, Mexican and Native American roots to create a delicious fusion of tastes, but North Denver loved it so much that before too long she had to move down the street to a new and stylishly decorated location with outside seating to cool you off after her homemade salsa. Julia offers vivid New Mexican art, spicy flavors and daring recipes for an adventurous culinary experience. |

Delicioso for your tastebuds and eyes: If you like FRESH and VIBRANT for your palate (and eyes) you'll love this restaurant. To make the experience even more fantastic enjoy their libations and outdoor dining. The location is great too with a charming used bookstore and shops nearby. We live in Colorado Springs â whenever we venture to Denver, we eat here. I wish Julia-B's would open in Colorado Springs! My favorite Julia-B dish? It consists of half an acorn squash, New Mexico Hatch green chile, and pinto beans. OMG! Creative and delicious. YUM!
Yum: So good! My husband and I went for breakfast and it was delicious. We were disappointed that we got there too early for the quiche (it was still cooking), but were more than happy with the entrees we ended up with. I make a mean scrambled egg, but the scrambled eggs in the egg, ham potato and cheese tacos I got easily beat mine. Hubby got the banana, mango and raspberry flapjack with fresh whipped cream. Also delicious. A definite must go.
Great New Mexican Fare: Great grilled elote and good hot green chile!
