Went here to get our car serviced...Arrived there at 7am, because I was told that that is when they opened and my fiance needed the car to go to the office and see patients at noon. I already knew what was wrong with it and I told the "Service Advisor" (#6289, Paul Hebert) that it needed a new O2 sensor. We were told that the techs arrive at 7:30 and we could wait, or they could call us when they got in. 7:30 came and went, so did 8, then 9. We called but were told that Paul was busy. So we decided to go up and pick up the car, but finally got a call back when we were on the way.
We got there and they said "we do have a concern about the O2 sensor and for us to determine that was $125, it'll be a total of $440 + tax and disposal to fix it".
So that's strike 2... it cost us $125 for them to tell us what i already told them. (For those not paying attention, strike 1 was that they didn't call or return calls). He said that they could have it finished by the end of the day... So much for being the first ones there in the morning! They already had their hooks in us for $125 and we needed the car and I didn't have time or equipment to go purchase the O2 and put it on, since we are temporarily relocated.
The 3rd and final strike is that, looking at the sheet, they charged $198.03 for an O2 sensor that can be had for $50 online and under $75 in local parts stores. They also charged $212.50 for labor that should have taken no more than 30 minutes. There were also undisclosed "Miscelaneous Charges" for $13.56.
Bottom line, they may have won this inning, but the game is over. I'll never set foot inside their lot again, and I'd recommend that you don't either! Find an experienced local mechanic if the work isn't under warranty.
On the positive side, we were given a free "Valued Customer Courtesy Inspection" where our buddy Paul walked around the car and confirmed that there wasn't anything else they could sell us at the moment. HA!
Do not shop for a car here and especially never bring it in for a service!!!! I was called to schedule a service on my brand new car at Go Nissan 104th. First of all, they said I wasn't scheduled to come in (even though I got a confirmation call the day prior). Next I asked if they could remove some shipping adhesive from the door that was left over from when I bought the car. They proceeded to buff the car without washing it and left scratches and deep grooves in the paint. When they brought it out they said the adhesive couldn't be removed and they didn't have time to finish washing the car. Later when we washed it, we saw all of the scratches and grooves. The salesperson we worked with claimed it was our fault for bringing in a dirty car and wouldn't even come out to look at the car. We finally got someone from the shop to try and buff out the scratches, but it only worked on some spots. Now the salesperson is refusing to help us anymore and says that we can't prove where the scratches came from. If they would have rescheduled us to come in a different time and asked us to wash the car before-hand, I would have been happy to do so. Instead, they buffed the car with dirt on it. I do not see how that is my fault. In addition, they should have taken more time when I bought the car to remove all of the sticker adhesive and packing tape. I guess they felt bad for making me sit there waiting for my car for 2.5 hours after we signed everything. Bad experience all around.
What a great experience! As a single woman, buying a car can be scary but Craig Bratcher made this the most pleasant car buying experience I've ever had. He was kind, knowledgable and worked with me on my trade-in. Thanks Go Nissan!
