Boardwalk Cafe & Pizzeria

I think I really had some elevated expectations coming in here, based on the reviews I've read. Don't get me wrong -- the pizza isn't bad, but I think you'd have to be crazy to dub it the greatest in Colorado.

It's an OK place, but that's it -- definitely not a place that deserves the "best" rating it gets on Yahoo.

I don't think I could honestly tell the difference between this pizza and a dozen other shops near my place. Just didn't have that extra "oomph" I expected when I was reading the reviews.

Again, someone that goes here won't be disappointed in the food, but it's nothing that'll demand repeat business over and over again.

Thanks to ctabone's review, when I moved to Northglenn I gave this place a shot and I absolutely love it, especially the beef and onion combination that is recommended in that review. The people that work at Boardwalk are very friendly and the food is awesome.

It is apparent that the food keeps the business going, as there seems to be no money spent on frivolous decor, marketing, or packaging. They live or die by the quality of their pie, and fortunately for them, it's the best pie in CO.
